Green Day and Bravery

At the opening concert of their world tour, Bravery and Green Day rocked the house. July 3rd, Bravery took the stage at Seattle’s Key Arena to kick off the Green Day concert and was simply awesome. Granted, Bravery only played for 20 minutes, their music was excellent.

Following the openning act and after a humerous human sized bunny jumped around stage drinking a beer, Green Day entered the arena. The next two hours were pure bliss. Green Day performed a mixture of new songs (from 21st Century Breakdown) and past hits. Between the great music, pyro-technic show, and amazing amount of crowd involvement, this show was definitely a must see event.

If Green Day is coming to your town, spend the money and go…you won’t be disappointed.

Laura Veirs: Troubled by Fire

What makes this lovely singer from seattle great is that each cd is different. the first is described as dark indie folk. well this time laura crafted something so different that you can’t go by labels blending country folk and a little jazz and a style of writing that can’t be put into words laura veirs is becoming the best singer no one on radio plays. here in new jersey we don’t get to enjoy that sunshine voice unless you listen to laura cantrell or doug on free form wfmu. the cd on none such not found here on the cd baby site is still another different undiscribable can’t put into words thing of beautifully crafted songs. frankly the only review this blind reviewer can give is hey go out buy lauras cd and listen to them. she is promising on her site that the next cd out in august will be a electric cd. different yet again. laura is like summer time you can listen to all the time so go grab this one and all her goodys. surely will brighten your day.

Kate Voegele CD

Kate Voegele, the young new artist who was featured on CW’s hit evening series “One Tree Hill”, released her new album called, “Don’t Look Away”. Kate shows off her great vocals on a number of tracks but once you hear this album a couple of times you might just grow sick of it. It’s not because the lyrics are bad and its not because of her voice…what’s the challenge you ask? Well, it is the fact that ever track sounds like the previous track…so if you are playing it in your car, by the time you are done, you find yourself wanting to shut the sound system off to get some peace and quiet.

If you don’t believe us, then check it out for yourself at her profile on Bands.tv, Click here but don’t say I didn’t warn you.
